This Memorial Day, DJ Jazzy Jeff will be playing with Roger Sanchez at Wet Republic, MGM’s newest addition to the Las Vegas pool scene. I promise you, if you go to this show to see DJ Jazzy Jeff, you won’t be disappointed. He’s called a legend for a reason.
One of the pioneers of modern DJing, DJ Jazzy Jeff of DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince fame continues to drop sets that leave fans chanting for more. A true renaissance man of turntables, he can switch styles at the drop of a hat with ninja-like deftness and is well-known for his innovative scratching.
I‘ve had the pleasure of catching DJ Jazzy Jeff several times at a small nightclub in Philly called Fluid. Located right off of the legendary South Street strip on Fourth Street, this hidden gem of a club produced some of the sickest shows I have ever seen. Each night he performed, DJ Jazzy Jeff would take his turn on the decks and rock the club for three straight hours. With flawless mixing in and out of a multitude of styles, he masterfully controls the sound and take his audience on a musical journey that leaves them both breathless and screaming for more at the same time.
